01 / The Problem

20 manual calls.
Every single event.

The Mississippi River moves $226 billion in annual cargo. When conditions change — river rising, fog rolling in, storm approaching — the Operations Manager already knows. They're the one making 20 calls themselves: river pilots, crane gang supervisors, gate operations, drayage dispatch, rail interchange coordinators, vessel agents. All by phone, all sequential. By the time the right people are notified, the window to act has closed.

20+
Manual calls to coordinate a single disruption event: pilots, rail, drayage, Coast Guard, vessel agents, all by phone
4 years
Low water has disrupted barge operations on the Mississippi in four consecutive years from 2022 to 2025. The problem is structural and worsening, not episodic.

02 / Why Now

The window to build
this is right now.

$1.8B: The LIT Catalyst
The Louisiana International Terminal in Violet is the largest port investment in U.S. history. It needs a disruption response layer built for it from day one. That window closes the moment a competitor arrives. We're positioning before it opens.
January 2026: The Crisis
Low water disrupted barge operations on the Mississippi for four consecutive years from 2022 to 2025. Each event triggered the same manual coordination response across terminals, fleets, and rail. No existing platform detected or responded to any of it autonomously. DeltaAgent was built for exactly this.
June 2026: Newlab New Orleans
Newlab opens at the NSA Bywater site, the only innovation ecosystem in the country built at the intersection of deep tech and heavy industry. DeltaAgent is applying as a founding Blue Tech corridor member to build and test at proximity to the river.
The Gap No One Has Filled
Maritime AI exists for open ocean. Nothing exists for inland waterway autonomous disruption response. The Lower Mississippi is the most economically critical waterway in North America — and we're proving it on the hardest version first.
"Big Tech builds for deep water. We're building for the River — and that's a permanent moat no amount of compute can substitute for."
Jordan Liuzza Jordan Liuzza, Founder, DeltaAgent AI

03 / The Solution

Autonomous AI that
acts, not just alerts.

DeltaAgent closes the gap between knowing and doing. It calculates what conditions mean for your terminal before they become a crisis — and coordinates the response automatically, before you've picked up the phone. No dashboard required. One reply coordinates the whole corridor.

01
Monitor
River-Logic doesn't wait for a threshold to be crossed — it calculates what's coming. When visibility at Southwest Pass drops to 0.8nm, the system already knows the one-way traffic restriction activates before your Operations Manager has made the first call. Four data sources feed this continuously: NOAA Carrollton Gauge, NDBC Buoy BURL1, NHC storm tracks, AIS vessel positions.
02
Alert
When a threshold is crossed, your decision-maker gets an SMS in under 5 seconds: the situation, the recommended action, the cost of waiting. Reply CONFIRM or OVERRIDE from wherever you are.
03
Dispatch
On CONFIRM, DeltaAgent notifies every party simultaneously: river pilots, crane gang supervisors, drayage dispatch, rail interchange coordinators, vessel agents. The reply is the MTSA audit record.

04 / Technology & IP

Built for
this river. This city.

Three agents run on top of River-Logic — each watching a different layer of the corridor, composing every alert before it reaches your decision-maker.

RW
River Warden
Environmental Monitor
Watches the Carrollton Gauge, Southwest Pass visibility, NHC storm tracks, and AIS vessel positions. Knows which inbound vessels can't safely transit a restriction before they've committed to the approach.
BM
Berth Master
Dock Scheduler
Manages dock-scheduling in real time: crane availability, vessel draft, turnaround targets. During delays, calculates crane gang release windows to eliminate standby costs.
IS
Intermodal Sync
Rail & Truck Coord.
Solves the cascade: a vessel delayed 6 hours triggers trucks, rail, and downstream shippers. Coordinates the entire chain as a single package on one confirmation.

Proprietary Moat

River-Logic: three layers no competitor has built for this river: live data, actual thresholds, real consequences.
Intermodal Coordination: the only platform connecting river disruptions to CN/KCS rail interchange and drayage scheduling. When fog shuts down the river, your trucks don't show up to a terminal that can't load them.
Edge Resilience: built for Gulf storm seasons. When a hurricane kills your internet, DeltaAgent keeps running on local infrastructure. The river doesn't stop for storms, and neither do we.
Physical Deployment: this is a Bits and Atoms platform. The software runs at the edge, on-site at port infrastructure. TWIC-cleared access means we can walk onto the dock, not just connect to an API from a desk.

05 / The Decision

What one confirmed
decision looks like.

When River-Logic connects to your terminal's live data, it coordinates the entire cascade automatically. Every party notified. Every decision made. One reply to confirm.

07 / Market Opportunity

Solving Disruption Response
on the Mississippi River.

The same problem exists everywhere industrial operations meet uncontrollable environmental triggers. We're building the proof of concept on the most complex waterway in North America.

The Expansion Sequence

LMR Maritime Terminals · The beachhead. Environmental trigger (gauge, fog, storm) meets vessel traffic, crane operations, and intermodal handoffs. The hardest coordination problem in US inland waterways — and the one we're proving first.
Gulf Coast LNG Terminals · Sabine Pass, Cameron LNG, Freeport LNG. Weather-sensitive, enormous financial exposure per vessel delay, zero tolerance for coordination failure. The environmental trigger logic transfers directly.
Baton Rouge to Gulf Refinery & Petrochemical Corridor · Dozens of river-facing facilities with the same flood stage and fog exposure as LMR terminals, and the same manual coordination response when conditions change.
Houston Ship Channel · One of the highest vessel traffic corridors in the world. Fog closes the channel multiple times per year. The same pattern, environmental trigger, operational consequence, coordinated response, on a larger stage.
Ohio River Grain Corridor · Cincinnati to Cairo, IL. Lock-and-dam system, barge-dependent grain exports, the same coordination fragmentation. Same product, new River-Logic ruleset.

08 / The Team

On the river.
Not from the valley.

Jordan Liuzza
Jordan Liuzza
Founder & CEO · DeltaAgent
Jordan is a Louisiana native who grew up alongside the river he's now building for. TWIC-cleared and embedded in the GNO industrial corridor, he has spent time learning how this industry actually works from the ground up, from the Carrollton Gauge to Southwest Pass. He built DeltaAgent because the coordination infrastructure managing $226 billion in annual trade on the Mississippi River is still largely manual, and he saw exactly how to fix it. He ships product independently using modern AI development tools and is actively building the technical foundation of the platform.
